Are you one of those people who are into making resolutions at the beginning of every year? It is the middle of the year and it is important that you look back on what you have achieved so far. I don’t believe in making resolutions at the start of the year. Deciding on doing something is a deliberate process. You don’t have to wait for the beginning of the year in order to do so. As I have always said, I started blogging almost by mistake. A year ago, I wouldn’t have answered you if you asked me what a blog was. The big question is why you haven’t achieved any of your resolutions.

Habitual disposition

People have made a habit of making resolutions at the beginning of the year just because it is convenient to do so. If you intend to achieve a particular objective in life, the onus is on you to follow the itinerary. Setting goals for the sake will not guarantee any kind of action if it is not deliberate.

Setting lofty resolutions

The New Year presents freshness in terms of opportunities and starting again. Most people are duped by making resolutions of the things that had failed the previous year. Setting lofty goals is one way of making sure that you don’t achieve any of your resolutions. It wouldn’t hurt if you were to have just one resolution for the New Year. All your energy would be focused on achieving that particular goal.

Living every day at a time

I believe you don’t have to wait for the beginning of the year to make a resolution. Every day presents its own unique challenges. It is the little things in life that count. When you decide to do something, make sure you stick to it to its final conclusion. I have decided to learn how to play the guitar and I am in the process of acquiring one. Surely I didn’t have to wait for the new year in order to so. What are you waiting for?!
